About the Role:
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.Support children’s development in key areas, including communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional skills.Provide one-to-one and small-group support to meet the diverse needs of children.Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing observations with the class teacher and parents.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence.Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and well-organized classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ).Proven experience working with children in the Early Years, ideally within a school setting.A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children’s learning.Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in education.
