Personal Care Assistant for Lady in North Walsham

Job Title: Personal Care AssistantLocation: North Walsham, NR28Hours: Flexible/job share 18 hours at £12.50 p/hr

Job Purpose:To provide domestic and social support for a lady with limited mobility.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with personal care including showering, dressing, and hair care.
2. Support transfers to and from a motorised wheelchair and assistance using a standing frame and motorised exercise bicycle.
3. Help with shopping and participation in voluntary and social activities.
4. Assist with food preparation, cooking meals from scratch, and light housework including cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, changing bedding, and laundry.
5. Assist with paperwork, telephone calls, and general household administration.
6. Work primarily at home but may occasionally involve outings to local venues.

Person Specification:

1. Sense of humour (Essential)
2. Adaptable to my condition
3. Physically capable
4. Able to work on own initiative
5. Full driving licence and able to drive a manual Motability car

Terms and Conditions:

1. Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour
2. Hours: 18 hours per week at flexible times plus additional hours for holiday cover. A job share arrangement would be considered.
3. 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays

Post Requirements:

1. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
2. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
