My client is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in Borehamwood within a commercial building. The successful candidates will be Electrical or Mechanical biased with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, working with the maintenance team on site.
Key duties depending on experience: Electrical duties:
Lighting – lamp changes, ballast changes, simmtronic/Phillips lightingEmergency light testingPower distributionElectrical fault-findingSmall works – new sockets, new lights, new circuitsPAT TestingControl Panel maintenanceTransformersStar Delta StartersMechanical duties:
Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testingAHU’s/FCU’s – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleansPumps – PPM’s or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)Motors – PPM’s (re-winds, overhauls)Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosingWater pressurization unitsChlorifiers – annual inspection, descalingSteam PlantCondensers, Condenser ReturnsCooling towersSoftenersHumidifiersHydraulicsPneumaticsBoilers – re-setsChillers – re-sets, 1st Line faultsPlumbing (Unblocking toilets, changing taps etc)HIU’sHours of workTemporary to permanentMonday – Friday08:00am – 17:00pmUp to £24 per hour Free Parking on site Electrical requirements:
Electrical qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc)18th EditionExperience working in a bank / commercial OfficeYou must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)A proven track record in commercial building maintenanceMulti-skilledGood communication skillsExcellent customer skillsMust have experience with Cooling Towers Mechanical requirements:
