Restructuring Director, Real Estate Finance

The Client

My client is a Challenger Bank providing Corporate Real Estate Finance as one of their many verticals. They deliver personalised financial solutions tailored to clients needs, as well as outstanding customer service. You will sit within their specialised Real Estate Team who deliver Investment as well as Development Finance.

The Role of the Director – Real Estate Restructuring :

Support the Real Estate Finance team in the management, monitoring and resolution of all facilities which are assigned to Restructuring:

• Play the lead role in designing strategies and solutions for the workout and recovery of each of the restructuring facilities.
• Management of bank- borrower relationship throughout restructure.
• Ongoing transaction monitoring, portfolio management and administration of assigned facilities;
• Management of IFRS 9 provisioning process in conjunction with Credit Risk and Finance.
• Assist as required in the preparation and interrogation of the Real Estate team Management Information.

Responsibilities of the Director – Real Estate Restructuring :

• Lead meetings with existing clients;
• Interact with appointed receivers, lawyers, administrators and restructuring professionals;

Review term sheets, draft credit proposals and amendments and instructions to lawyers

Key Skills of the Director – Real Estate Restructuring role :

• Understanding of UK Real Estate market and restructuring trends.
• Skills to manage bank-borrower relationships through restructures and workouts.
• Financial Analysis (analytical skills)
• Maintain appropriate transaction records
