C#.NET Developer – Innovative Detection Technology
A leading organisation in detection technology is seeking an on-site C# .NET Developer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. This company specialises in developing advanced scanning and imaging systems for high-security environments, including ports, borders, and critical facilities.
In this role, you will support all aspects of the software development lifecycle for complex X-ray security systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience: C# .NET development with strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and network technologies; experience in developing distributed applications and microservices (WCF, gRPC, REST) is highly desirable.
- Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL Server database design, administration, and scripting is preferred.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Methodologies, such as Agile Development and Continuous Integration using Azure DevOps.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable desktop applications within an Agile environment.
- Participating in all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, documentation, peer reviews, unit testing, and support.
- Making regular modifications to existing software to correct errors and improve functionality and performance.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and compliance standards to enhance existing applications.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site: 4-5 days a week, with occasional travel for visits to the US team in Boston or client sites (maximum of 1-2 times a year, travel expenses covered by the company).
