The Endpoint Engineer plays a crucial role in the CORE IT Operations and Support team which supports GTIL and Member Firms on local and global contracts.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Endpoint Engineer to work alongside the IT Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Security teams to provide a secure, modern, best in class user experience with our laptops and mobile devices. You’d be working alongside an experienced department to own deployment of systems and applications, as well as automation where appropriate. This position encourages the use of the most modern technology to provide our users with the tools they need to securely perform their job duties.

Main responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert in Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Device installation, operations, and support
  • Managing operating systems, images, and software lifecycles including deployment, configuration, maintenance, and best practices for all endpoints (laptop and Mobile).
  • Identifying and developing automation through scripting using modern programming languages
  • Assume role as primary Escalation point of contact for endpoint and operational security issues provide hands on technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues – Level 3
  • Manage deployments and updates for all software used within the organization.
  • Manage Microsoft solutions such as Windows Autopilot, Intune, MDM, App Protection, AVD, and application deployment.
  • Responsible for the management of AD group policies
  • Manage proper onboarding and offboarding policies for all devices in the organization
  • Maintain, update, and create documentation where necessary.
  • Ensure implementation of SaaS SSO and MFA
  • Recommend upgrades, repair or replacement as appropriate, or escalating to other IT staff.
  • Planning, designing, and implementing endpoint-related solutions, vulnerability management, and patch management to improve user productivity and capability.
  • Manage projects, issues (Incidents) and service requests from various stakeholders related to GTIL endpoints as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Coordinate endpoint and security related work activities and policy management across managed service providers, Cybersecurity, GTIL business stakeholders, and other 3rd parties or customers
  • Work with Service Providers to create (and confirm) resource, time, and cost estimates for Demands and Projects
  • Work in a 24×7 environment, and available to represent Endpoint Services and IT Operations in general
  • Assume responsibility as Service Owner for all Endpoint Configuration Items (CI’s)

Person specification

  • Extensive experience in technical leadership of endpoint management and environment
  • Problem-solving skills, particularly regarding anticipating and solving risks/issues before they occur or become critical
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, can define dependencies and plan efficiently and communicate actions, progress, blockers.
  • Relates with people across levels, functions, culture, with diplomacy and tact; Builds rapport in an open, friendly, and accepting way; Builds constructive relationships with people both similar and different to self; Picks up on interpersonal and group dynamics.

Experience – Essential

  • Ability to quickly pivot as needed while working through multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Advanced scripting capabilities in a common language to develop packages and automation
  • Proven track record in on time/on spec delivery
  • Strong relationship skills and cultural awareness, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and cultures.
  • Ability to be agile, respond positively to change and contribute with an innovative and global mindset.
  • Experience with Windows endpoint engineering with proven technology expertise in more than one relevant core areas such as, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Windows Autopilot, Intune, software distribution, AVD, Windows 365, and MDM.
  • ServiceNow experience a plus.
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager integration with Microsoft Intune and AVD environments.
  • Capable of working on a global team and reporting to a leader in the United States.
  • Strong troubleshooting and research skills, and ability to work with vendors to find solutions to problems.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • A self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
