Head of Business Change – Business Transformation

Location: Lincoln (x4 days a week)

We're currently looking for a strategic and dynamic Head of Business Change to lead the programme office at one of our prominent clients within the insurance sector. This pivotal role involves managing the business change portfolio to align with the ambitious five-year strategic plan, driving substantial transformations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the implementation of business changes, overseeing project managers and business analysts.
  • Provide top-tier executive reporting on the delivery of the programme portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to Group governance regarding business change.
  • Lead large tech transformation projects, managing both business and IT project teams.
  • Engage with finance initiatives, including significant platform migrations.
  • Support and deploy technical solutions to resolve business challenges.
  • Oversee significant transformation projects, offering guidance and support to project teams.
  • Develop and enforce robust governance controls in compliance with organizational change policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Ensure resource capacity and scheduling for technical staff and external partners are effectively managed.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum three years in a leadership role within a business change function.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve project success.
  • Ability to facilitate project meetings, identify and mitigate risks, and drive project initiatives forward.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with APMQ, Prince2, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint is desirable.
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile project methodologies is essential.
