We are hiring for a Commissioning Engineer for one of clients working on deep drainage, utility and water projects in the Yorkshire area.
Duties of a Commissioning Engineer:
Review tender documentation in terms of design / commission ability and prepare all necessary submission documentation in relation to commissioning / handover on tendersAssist in carrying out comprehensive commissioning review at design stage – review mechanical and electrical specifications / drawings / schematics / equipment selections / technical submittals and highlight any potential installation / commissioning issuesAssist in preparing commissioning procedures.Assist & Prepare detailed commissioning plans and strategiesLiaise with each Project Team, Building Services Manager / Engineer, Client, Consultant and Services Sub ContractorsAttend commissioning meetings with each Project TeamReview sub-contractor commissioning method statements and comment as necessaryAssist & Preparing weekly progress reports / monthly status reports, highlighting any potential issuesVisit sites prior to planned commissioning to ensure that installation and the building itself are ready for commissioningAssist in Organising and facilitate Client / Consultant witnessing of successful commissioning including sign off.Assisting & liaise with relevant Statutory Authorities to ensure compliance / sign off.Collate all mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation for O&M manualsAssisting & Organising and facilitate Client systems demonstrations including sign off.Attend / report / rectify any commissioning / snagging issues post practical completion throughout the defects liability period.Requirements of a Commissioning Engineer:
Will be personable with good communication skillsKnowledge of commissioning Good computer skillsWilling to travelPro-active/can do attitudeProfessional qualification is desirable.SMSTS safety qualification CSCS cardWhat the client offers:
