Our client are one of the fastest-growing and highest-rated commercial energy suppliers in the UK, we are seeking a Change of Tenancy Manager to join our clients team. The Change of Tenancy Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all activities related to Change of Tenancy (COT) across our commercial, sales, and operations departments.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, exceptional communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of the energy sector’s regulatory landscape therefore energy experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Change of Tenancy Management: Lead and coordinate all aspects of the COT process, ensuring smooth transitions for incoming and outgoing tenants. This involves verifying tenancy changes, updating records, managing COT pricing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all COT activities comply with relevant regulations and guidelines set by industry bodies. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between the commercial, sales, and operations departments to ensure a coordinated approach to COT processes. Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to discuss COT activities, issues, and improvements.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the COT process by addressing queries or concerns promptly and efficiently. Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and expectations during tenancy changes.
  • Process Improvement: Continually assess and enhance COT processes and systems for greater efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve the COT experience.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all COT activities. Generate reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to support effective COT management.

The Individual:

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the energy sector, with a focus on change of tenancy processes.
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment governing the energy sector, including Ofgem, Elexon, Xoserve, and the Retail Energy Code (REC).
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively.
  • Logical mindset with a focus on process improvement and customer service excellence.
  • Proficiency in data management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
