Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Up to £75 umbrella per hour
Local Authority in Berkshire
3 months initially with high likelihood of long term extension
36 hours per week, 1 day per week office attendance
Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in Berkshire in their search for an Adult Social Care Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.
Requirements:
- A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister or a Fellow of CILEX
- Specialism within Adult Social Care and extensive evidence of practising this post-qualification, particularly with regards to continuing care
- Experience working within local authorities and working with the NHS in any capacity
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Possessing an expert knowledge and understanding of law and legislation relating to adult social care
- Providing legal advice and prepare complex and straightforward documentation relating to adult social care
- Working in liaison with the adult social care legal team with regards to a continuing care project
- Intricately and independently work a caseload of varying complexity
- Advising officers and members in a proactive and sensitive manner
- Mentoring and training less experienced team members
- Deputising for heads of legal and other principal lawyers when necessary
