Sourcing Manager

Job Description

The Role:

To manage sourcing activities for multi-million pound opportunities, driving innovation and collaboration to deliver significant commercial value.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the sourcing process from requirement to contract signature for medium-cost opportunities, using expert influencing techniques to achieve substantial savings.
• Apply the Sourcing Framework for annual spends between £100m and £300m, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements. (UCR/OJEU)
• Negotiate savings opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders, supporting cost-saving targets.
• Ensure smooth transition to Strategic Supplier Management for optimal contract and relationship value.
• Oversee continuous improvement activities and customer satisfaction assessments to enhance the procurement experience.

Skills/ Experience:

• Extensive sourcing experience with a proven savings track record
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
• Knowledge of contract law and financial management
• Experience with complex sourcing opportunities
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions
• Politically savvy with strong influencing skills
• Public Sector Legislation experience
