Job Description

MARKET LEADING TECHNOLOGY – UX/UI DESIGN LEADERSHIP

This B2B SaaS business have truly cornered the market since their launch a decade ago. Their product allows their customers to elevate their consumers online shopping experiences. With a brand refresh in the works, there is a renewed energy and focus on design within the organisation, making it a driving force in their product development and brand identity.

What they need –

  • An experienced Digital Design leader who can confidently define and help deliver the strategic design direction of the business as the product continues to evolve
  • Someone to lead the design output (1 direct report currently) with a laser focus on elevating the UX & UI across both the backend and the consumer facing product interfaces
  • A seasoned Product designer who can establish best practice and first-rate design processes for the business
  • Someone to collaborate closely with the Product leadership team and engineering to ensure a holistic approach to product development
  • A designer with laser focus on user insights, brand alignment, and rigorous testing to measure the efficacy of product design updates and changes
  • Someone who can implement complex design solutions, taking the app which is very feature heavy and establishing a more design led approach
  • With the Brand Refresh in the pipeline, the Head of Design would take ownership of the brand across all app & marketing comms, leading the visual identity for the business

What you're great at –

  • Taking on a visible role in a fast-paced organisation, leading design processes and teams, mentoring and inspiring them when it comes to design delivery
  • Playing the role of “player/coach” – defining strategy and creative oversight whilst also rolling your sleeves up and jumping on the tools, leading by example
  • Advocating design internally – the business admittedly haven't put design at the heart of the product strategy to date. They need someone to really prioritise this and support PO and make sure they’re constantly evolving the product
  • Guiding design decisions with research and data, applying insights to craft user-centric solutions
  • Applying user-centred design principles and practices ideally in a business with a similarly complex product
  • Nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and openness to feedback

What you'll get –

  • Hybrid working (2 days pw in London office – Tuesdays & Thursdays)
  • Private health
  • Potential for LTIs (TBC)
