Westray Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent contract. The role is based in County Durham and centres on continental shifts, with 1 week off within rotation per month.

THE ROLE

Operating within a high-volume manufacturing facilityOptimising manufacturing processes – improving efficiencies, reducing wastage, enhancing yield and reducing costWorking to maintain plant site facilitiesPerforming asset strip down and repairWorking to maintain automated production linesFault finding and repairing large complex electrical equipmentWorking with PLC systems to perform fault finding and analysisWorking to deliver planned and reactive maintenanceUpdating maintenance schedulesTHE PERSON

Time served recognised Electrical ApprenticeshipEducated to ONC/HNC equivalents – Electrically Biased Maintenance TechnicianAble to undertake fault finding and diagnostic work – proficient with the use of PLC’sAble to work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, gears, pumps, valves, etcAble to effectively identify and resolve manufacturing issuesHolding multi skilled capabilities including bench skills, basic fabrication and basic weldingProficient with ITExcellent communicatorAble to abide by H&S
