We are working in partnership with a Secondary school in Wolverhampton who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join their team in January 2025. This is a full-time and long-term role for the term with the potential of going ;
You will have an opportunity to work in a fantastic, inclusive and supportive Secondary School in Wolverhampton. They have brilliant facilities with modern classrooms, and have recently received a 'Good' in their latest Ofsted report. Having spent time with the Assistant Principal, and touring the school first-hand, the school's culture is impressive and transformative. They have supportive and responsive SLT who have student and staff wellbeing as a priority.Due to this being a long-term role, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking. You must be a qualified teacher (ECTs are welcome to apply) and have recent experience teaching Geography to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.Your new role
- Delivering engaging and creative Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
- Recent experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
