Operations Analyst
Role overview
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to work quickly, efficiently and methodically and have in depth knowledge of operational & underwriting practices as well as an understanding of financial aspects, such as credit control & IBA.
This new position will form a pivotal part of our operational structure which is rapidly growing and will allow the opportunity to work within a small, fun and results orientated team. As a result, you will need to be able to adapt well to change, prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
Role responsibilities
- Assisting with the maintenance, compliance and effectiveness of the teams underwriting processes
- On-boarding of new underwriting teams (Lines of business) to the existing operational framework
- Overseeing the accuracy of data entry for all lines of business within the team, underwriting & claims
- Liaises with other teams within DUAL such as Credit Control, Finance, Audit, Compliance, Marketing and IT and acts on behalf of the underwriting team, as point of contact.
- Building strong relationships with carrier partners
- Assisting with system monitoring and changes on the underwriting and broking systems
- Main contact point for both Binder Brokers & Carriers.
- Managing the reporting of monthly income and debt, both inwards and outwards (bordereaux understanding required).
- Providing management information reporting.
- Supports the team during Binder renewals, more specifically with Binder testing and regulatory changes.
- Proactively and collaboratively works with Underwriters and other stakeholders, responding to any queries concerning policies, pulling ad-hoc reports, when required.
- Monitoring of exception reporting with data entry
- Supporting the team with binder management and endorsement processing
Key requirements
- Ideal candidates will have previous working experience within Insurance operations and a good understanding of delegated authority
- Ideal candidates must have excellent communication skills both written and verbally (this is crucial)
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently and methodically
- Ability to communicate new initiatives and ideas
- In depth knowledge of operational and underwriting practices
- A strong team player who is confident in their ability and also self starting
