A leading manufacturer in Oxfordshire are looking for a Quality Health and Safety Administrator to support to the Head of QHSE in relation to planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting QHSE activities.
General Description:
Support in delivering the Health & Safety strategic plan.
Taking minutes of meetings and action logs.
Handling of sensitive and confidential information.
Assist in the implementation of corrective action from incident investigations and safety concerns where required.
Supporting forums and working groups across the business.
Assist in the maintenance of the Health and Safety SharePoint site.
Documenting of management and process improvements across the business.
Reporting and administering of QHSE platforms.
Supporting in ensuring the safe systems of work are effective.
Supporting the quality team in a wide range of administrative duties.
Main Duties:
- Monitoring and maintaining the HSE planner.
- Ensuring that the relevant inspections and collections are arranged and carried out as per the planner.
- Facilitating in the training of Risk assessments, COSHH assessments and general HSE awareness
- Monitoring and maintaining registers for lifting equipment, forklift trucks, calibration etc.
- Liaising with the workforce to ascertain QHSE suggestions and concerns to drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting in the delivery of HSE training and toolbox talks and the maintenance of the related trainings.
- Conducting and recordings shop floor audits and maintaining the recorded data.
- Conducting inspections and observation checks on the shop floor.
- Chasing completed non-conformity reports from suppliers.
- Support the QA team in raising service calls and processing supplier returns as required.
- Writing of risk assessments.
- Writing of method statements and the creation of work instructions
- Facilitate actions / modifications from employee risk assessments /return to work.
- Complete and monitor the return of various QHSE reports, assisting management to ensure all actions are completed on time and reminders issued for those outstanding.
- Draft correspondence to include creating, revising, proof-reading, and distributing various types of documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly / quarterly reports.
Job Description: QHSE Administrator
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a similar QHSE administrative role.
Good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
IOSH managing safely or above.
Experience of ISO 9001.
Good experience of Writing Risk Assessments, method statements and work instructions.
Experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
Experience conducting workplace inspections and checks.
Experience of producing work within defined timescales.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with good attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good knowledge of IT systems with an excellent knowledge and understanding of MS Word, Excel, outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
A positive, flexible, and pro-active approach to work.
A willingness and ability to learn new skills.
Key Characteristics / Behaviours
You need to be highly organised and a proactive individual with excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve targets.
You also need a keen eye for detail, process driven and proficient with data analysis will apply a systematic approach to clearly communicate QHSE information.
Hours are Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm with some flexibility, competitive salary of c£30k, Bupa Healthcare, contribution pension and free parking on site.
This is not a hybrid role and is based in Oxfordshire and due to the location you need to drive.
