£28ph – £31ph. Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)
Professional body requires a highly motivated HR Manager to lead on the learning and development, payroll, recognition awards and performance management system.
Duties
Direct line management and appraisal of staff members.Ensure all staff are trained appropriately and overall responsibility for staff development.Lead on the learning and development, payroll, recognition awards, and the performance management system.Support on the review and modernisation of management practices.Contribute to the organisational development of the organisation by initiating and supporting a continuous management development programme.Assist the Director of HR in developing and implementing successful strategies for engaging and working with senior managers and other employees in the management of change and attainment of good HR practice.Manage and process the payroll process alongside the Senior HR Co-ordinator.Develop, maintain, and constantly review the staff induction and performance management processes.Develop and maintain a Learning and Development Strategy aligned to current and future needs and initiate talent management strategies to develop.Develop the annual learning and development programme in line with strategic, departments, team, and individual requirements.Creating the full spectrum of learning via a blended learning approach.Identify projects and other learning needs across the operational business as and when required.Manage the staff recognition process and social club committee.Lead on HR projects, reviews, and restructure.Lead on HR related events, i.e., conferences, Values days etc.Manage employee relation issues to ensure they meet best practice/employment legislation.Manage the learning and development budget.Develop, implement, and maintain human resources policies, procedures, and forms.Maintain expertise and keep up to date with employment law; ensuring policies are updated and managers are informed of relevant legislative changes.Ensure that the intranet HR pages are kept up to date.Requirements
Experience in a Learning and Development Management role or Team Leadership roleFull membership of the CIPDComprehensive knowledge of UK employment lawUnderstanding of and commitment to equality and diversity issuesExperience of managing a teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven problem-solving abilityExperience of multiple learning methodologies, eLearning tools, LMS platformsExperience of managing HR projectsExperience of policy and procedures developmentSelf-starter, fast learner…
