Details on role:Job Specification: Principal Social Worker – Corporate Parenting Location: Walsall Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office) Role Overview: Walsall are seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join their Corporate Parenting team. This role involves managing a caseload of 8-10 cases, acting as a senior member of staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive social work support within the Corporate Parenting framework. Manage a caseload of 8-10 children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld. Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues. Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices. Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and ensure their safety. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
