Position

We are now looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistantto join our education team, based in Henshaws College in Harrogate who is passionate about teaching and learning, supporting our students the skills to achieve their full potential, develop their independence and make a positive real difference to their lives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To work as part of the education team to provide support for Teaching and Learning activities for learners.
  • To support the Tutors in preparing individual learning material for learners.
  • To provide support and personal care (as required) to enable the learners to be fully involved in timetabled activities.

Salary: £12.54 per hour/£13.039.69

Hours per week: 22.2

Weeks per Year: 40

Holiday: 6.84 weeks

Requirements

Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (i.e. GCSE grade A*-C) or equivalent qualification.

Experience of working in further education and/or SEN environment.

Previous experience of working in the SEN sector and understanding the needs of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Commitment and enthusiasm to work with young people to encourage learning and independence.
