We are currently recruiting a school Cook to work at Huby Primary School near York. Huby is a lovely village on the outskirts of York it has excellent road links to York, Easingwold and surrounding villages. If you have never worked for North Yorkshire Council, you could also be eligible to receive a £350 joining incentive.
As a school cook your role will be to prepare and cook nutritious food within a budget following all food legislation, maintain an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety. On a daily basis you will be carrying out food preparation, cooking, serving meals to students and staff, food ordering, managing stock, maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, recording and documentation of all relevant information following our food safety management system.
You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable, and committed working. You will work 26.25 hours per week over 5 days. No weekend work! You will work term time weeks only however you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year. You will be paid £12.38 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement. A pay award is pending so this amount is due to increase.
